But living out our faith among the challenges and changes in health care can be difficult and lonely. August Collection - HarvestCall Servant Fund Sunday, 8/17 Brad Metz (Bloomington) will have the first service. Second Service - Funeral of Charlene Monk beginning at 12:30. Her visitation will be from 11:30- 12:30. Lunch Provided by Jeff and Jenny Hodel Monday, 8/18 - Trail Life / American Heritage Girls Open House and Registration Night - at 6:00 pm. Both are in the church basement this year. Come learn about these organizations that serve our youth from 5 - 17 years old. Kids are welcome to attend too. There is a Retired Men's Breakfast that meets once a month. We enjoy good friends, good fellowship, and good food. If you would like to be added to the list, please let Randy Feucht know. We had permission from local authorities to do the lantern release for the Memorial ceremony, but have since been notified that the State of Illinois has outlawed the release of floating lanterns. June Collection - Operational Fund- On the national level, this fund pays for elder forums, elder teaching resources, Onward Media (which includes AC Central), etc. On the local level, this fund pays for Roanoke minister travel, Ladies’ and Men’s events, All Church Christmas caroling and other events that involve the entire church, Silver Lining subscriptions, assistance as needed for the Young Group, Counseling material, etc. Sunday, 6/22 Men of Integrity - 8:30 am - We will provide men with the tools and encouragement to become men of integrity. All men, 16 and older, that struggle with or mentor those who struggle with lust and pornography are welcome (16-18 need a father to be present). We plan to meet the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month at 8:30 am in the Bible classroom beginning on Sunday June 22nd. The contact people are Brian Schwind, Dan Moser and Mark Hinrichson. National Church Anabaptism at 500 Event - On Saturday, June 28, from 8:30am to noon at the Washington, Illinois Apostolic Christian Church, we’ll explore key moments in Anabaptist and Apostolic Christian history through three engaging talks and guided group discussions.
