June Collection - ACCFS


Sunday, 6/7 

  • Prayer Gathering will meet at 9:00am in the Intermediate Sunday School Room. All are welcome to join and begin our day of worship in prayer.
  • 2nd Service - Bible Study on 1 Timothy 6
  • Lunch provided by Chris & Mary Beth Schmidgall
  • Communion will be served at the Nursing Home. Singing will begin at 1:00. Those who could not attend communion are welcome to join the residents.


Wednesday, 6/10 - Family Night - Bro. Dave Hodel (Bloomington) will share on the Midwest Food Bank's beginnings, his testimony of God working in his life and how much the Roanoke church means to him. The evening will begin with a 6:00 pizza supper, congregational singing beginning at 6:45, followed by the presentation at 7:00. Young Group:

  • Tuesday, 6/9 - Singing at Roanoke Nursing Home at 7pm
  • Friday, 6/12 - “God’s Not Dead” Movie Night at Dan & Donna Schwind’s at 7pm.


Roanoke church is hosting HarvestCall's Proclaim & Serve Conference on July 10 & 11

  • There is a new opportunity to be part of a prayer team, praying individually for designated speaker(s) leading up to the event, with contact info to text/email encouragement to them. There will also be an optional prayer meeting right after church on Wednesday July 8th, to pray for the event and speakers.   • Thank you for filling the volunteer slots; there are a few left to be filled, especially help with tearing everything down! We encourage the congregation to attend the conference and learn more about HarvestCall and their missions. Looking Ahead

  • Sunday, 6/28 
  • Senior Breakfast for Bible Class will be at the Fellowship Hall at 9:15am. Please contact Jackie Knepp to RSVP or with any questions.
  • Sunday School Picnic will be at 4:00pm at the Roanoke Park Building. Meat, drink and dessert will be provided. Please bring 2 side dishes to share. We have the pool rented from 5-7 and there will be the annual softball game after dinner. National Church

  • Work Team Opportunity in Altadena - June 22-26 and July 6-10 - 6-8 people to assist with clearing weeds and brush and also the possibility of working with Habitat for Humanity on their build sites. We also welcome anyone interested in volunteering as an individual or smaller group on other dates. Please reach out to Mike or Susie Zobrist for more details.   • New “AC Jobs” Board in AC Central - open to any employer (business or nonprofit) who wishes to recruit Apostolic Christians. For a small fee, employers can post jobs to reach all registered AC Central users.
  • Silver Lining reader-submitted article -The topic is Spiritual Lessons from Seasoned Brethren: Relate how experienced believers’ examples have enhanced your focus on biblical living in the Spirit. Submit your contribution (length = 600 words or less) on this topic to features@acsilverlining.org by July 1​5, 2026.
