June’s Collection - Operational Fund - This collection funds our national church costs which includes, AC Central, National Church Website, Onward Media, liability insurance, Elder Forums, etc.  It also funds Roanoke’s operational costs which includes: Church Phone Directory, Minster Directory, Silver Lining subscriptions, Church sponsored ACCFS Speakers, Ladies’ Day, Young Group expenses, Roanoke ministers’ travel expenses, etc. 

Sunday 6/5 -Prayer Gathering at 9:00 in the Intermediate Sunday School Room 

June 6-10 - VBS

• We are looking forward to VBS this week. Students ages 3 years old through 8th grade will meet downstairs in the intermediate  Sunday School singing room. Students should arrive downstairs around 6:40 to begin song worship at 6:45. They will be brought upstairs between 8:05 and 8:10 and lined up in the parking lot outside of the Northwest doors. For safety sake, we ask that a parent picks up each child so they are not walking through the parking lot.  Please promptly pick up your students.
• Bible Class students and the rest of the Church will meet at the fellowship hall. Singing at the fellowship hall will begin at 6:45.
• Please pray for students, teachers, and visiting ministers this week that Gods name would be glorified and hearts could be touched! 

Sunday 6/19 - Annual Bible Class Senior Breakfast 9:15 -  Due to the church service being held in the fellowship hall, the breakfast will be at Caleri's in Roanoke. Senior graduates, their parents, the remainder of the Bible Class students, Bible Class teachers and their wives are invited. Please check your email for more details and RSVP to Sis. Gini by June 7.

Sunday School Nominations - If you would like to nominate someone for Sunday School, after you get their permission, please submit their name to the Nominating Committee.  All names need to be turned in by June 19th. 

Ministries and Talent Survey -  To better identify where people desire to serve in our church, Please complete the online survey. We encourage everyone (members and friends from high school on up) to complete the survey.  It takes about 2-3 minutes to complete. https://www.roanokeacchurch.org/ministries-and-talents-survey  This survey will also be used by the Nominating Committee for the upcoming Sunday School election.

 National Church Events

• Saturday 7/9 - Proclaim and Serve Conference at Goodfield  - Proclaim & Serve missions conference (proclaimandserve.org)  (Roanoke will be hosting this conference in 2023)
• Friday 8/5 - Brotherhood Conference in Bluffton - The Bluffton Country congregation is looking forward to hosting the 2022 General Conference on Friday, August 5th. We want to invite all to this conference. If you can attend, please contact Bro John Bradle. You can click on the link in the email announcements to register for the conference no later than Friday, July 1st. It is our prayer that the name of Jesus will be lifted up and our Heavenly Father will be glorified in all that we do. In the Love of Christ, The Bluffton Country Brotherhood Conference Committee (Keep in mind that the Gateway Woods Auction is Saturday, August 6th in Leo (only a 45 minute drive from Bluffton).  We know that they would love to have your support there as well.)

• Silver Lining - The next Silver Lining reader-submitted article is set for September 2022. The topic is: “In a world that can seem so overwhelming, how can we maintain a home (or personal sphere of influence) that is a peaceful refuge (John 17:15-17). Please submit your contribution (length = 600 words or less) on this topic to features@acsilverlining.org by July 15, 2022.
