  • Jonah Study during second service - Jonah 1:1-16 - A Man on the Run


Wednesday 2/1

  • Scripture Memory will meet at 7:15 in the dining room.
  • HOPE will meet Wednesday at 7:15 in the church basement kitchen.
  • ACTIVE will meet in the Bible class room at 7:30
  • WOW 7:00 at the Beer’s shed.


Thursday 2/2

  • Helping Hands - will meet from 9am-3pm


Sunday 2/5

  • Prayer Gathering - 9:00am in the intermediate Sunday School room.  All are welcome to begin our day of worship with sharing some time in prayer.
  • Foundations Class -  will be meeting during morning service in the adult Sunday school classroom in the North east corner downstairs. We encourage any friends to join in.  Please contact Bro. Jonathan Hodel if you have any questions.



The Prairie Choristers and Youth Choir will begin preparing for Easter soon. If you or someone in your home would like to sing in either group, please send an email to Phil at phodel@gmail.com


ACCFS will be hosting its 2023 Cultivating Connections Marriage Conference on February 10-11 in Roanoke. We look forward to a time of learning, encouragement, and fellowship around this year’s theme: Knowing God in Marriage. Registration will close this weekend www.accounseling.org/marriageconference2023. We encourage you to consider investing in your marriage and joining us for this year’s conference!

  • An updated Sunday school curriculum resource for interested congregations is in the process of development by Onward Media, a communications ministry of the Apostolic Christian Church of America. This article recently appeared in the Silver Lining.  The curriculum project is a large undertaking that requires a multitude of volunteers with various skill sets. If you are interested in helping with this effort, please visit the website listed in the article (apostolicchristian.org/curriculum-project).


Other Ways to Learn and Serve

  • Berean Prison Ministry Bible studies are available and ready for grading, they are placed in the North hall.


  • The next Silver Lining reader-submitted article is set for May 2023. In anticipation of Father’s Day, the topic is: What teachings, blessings, and legacies still guide your choices from having a God-fearing *father* with integrity? (*can also reference a father-figure)  Please submit your contribution (length = 600 words or less) on this topic to features@acsilverlining.org by March 15, 2023. You may email that same address for writing support or clarification.


  • The 2023 Midwest Food Bank Virtual On-line Silent Auction is scheduled for April 13-14. The Gala Dinner and Live Auction will be Saturday April 15. The Roanoke committee is currently seeking homemade items, themed dinners or events, and business products or services as auction items. Cash donations can be used by the committee to purchase items for the gala or as Benefit sponsorships. Tables for up to 8 are available for the Gala Dinner and Auction.Deadline for donations will be February 28th. Please contact Jon or Jill Fehr for donations and/or table tickets
