Friday, September 8 - Men's Steak Dinner will be this coming Friday September 8 at Stephen & Susan Bertschi's land. All men of high school age and older are welcome to attend! Please RSVP on online sign up: https://www.perfectpotluck.com/meals.php?t=GWHY8658

Come anytime after 5 pm and dinner will be served at 6 pm.

Wednesday, September 13th - Family Night -
  Andy & Kim Luginbuhl will be speaking on “God’s faithfulness through Kim’s journey with long Covid.” The pizza supper will begin at 6:30 in the church dining room, with singing in the church sanctuary at 7:15. The Prairie Choristers and Youth Choir will present a Christmas program on two Wednesday nights: December 13 and 20.

  • Youth Choir is for students from third grade through high school. Practices are held Sunday mornings at 9:05 in the Choir Room. If you have a child who would like to sing, please email Phil at phodel@gmail.com
  • Prairie Choristers will practice Wednesday nights after church services. Singers of high school age and older are welcome. Please email Phil at phodel@gmail.com if you would like to sing.


Looking Ahead

  • Saturday, September 16th - Ladies’ Day from 9am-12 pm with brunch served at the Fellowship Hall. The theme is:  In God's Silence, Faith is Born. Join the women of Roanoke church, high school age and above, for a day of fellowship and encouragement to be strong in our faith during times of waiting on the Lord. Please RSVP by 9/6 via Ladies Day 2023 Correct RSVP Link or the sign up sheet on the women's bulletin board.
  • November 4th - Jr/Sr Mission Trip Harvest Dinner - This year the committee decided to do a little something different.  We are having a Pancake and Sausage Supper.  It will be a walk in from 4-7pm, dine in only.

  • Assistant RSD – Oakwood & Linden Estate (Brand new role – same qualifications as RSD but focused on managing the staff at Oakwood and Linden Estates)
  • Direct Service Provider (DSP) - Similar to CNA but a different credential.
  • Nurses - Critical need of four nurses with solid floor leadership at Timber Ridge facility.
  • Volunteer Need - Front Desk Greeters/General Office Volunteer - Looking to fill a volunteer slot each day from 10-2 (hours may be flexible) at our main Administration Building front desk to sort mail, walk/drive mail between buildings, occasional errands etc.
