Security Improvements - As the remodeling project nears completion, work continues on security improvements and protocols for the Roanoke Church. Input for security improvements has been received from the Roanoke Fire Department, Woodford County Emergency Management Agency and the Woodford County Sheriff’s Office.

  • Planned security improvements include new cameras to monitor all entry doors to the church. These new cameras will be installed in the near future.
  • To help minimize the risk of intruders, the (2) north doors to the church will now remain locked during services. These are the doors on the far northwest and northeast corners of the church, which would give an intruder direct access to the church basement.
  • In addition, the church entry doors will remain locked before services on Sunday morning until 9:00 am. Those serving lunch will have a key to the kitchen and will need to turn on the coffee pots when they arrive.
  • We would also like to remind anyone who enters the church during the week to make sure the lights are turned off and that the door latches secure when they leave.

We plan to share additional updates as efforts to improve security continue.
