August’s Collection -  HarvestCall Servant Fund - This fund provides modest financial support for brothers and sisters sent as full-time missionaries by HarvestCall. With approximately 30 missionary brothers and sisters currently serving, our financial commitment to our brethren is just under $1,000,000 a year.

• 2023 General Brotherhood Conference - “Navigating Life Together in an Ever Changing World” 

This will be video live streamed, which will be accessible via three pathways:

• Morton Website – there will be a “Watch Live” button on the home page
• ACCA Website – there will be a “Watch Live” button under Resources/Brotherhood

Congregational singing will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by Morning Conference Presentations from 9:00 to 11:30. The lunch break will be from 11:30 to 1:00, with singing beginning at 12:30 p.m., followed by Afternoon Conference Presentations from 1:00 to 3:30.

Thank you from Cheri Janssen - To my dear church family- Thank you so very much for remembering me with your gift since my back surgery. I am slowly gaining back my strength and am able to be more active - the very best part is my pain is gone. Thank you for your prayers as I was at complete peace when I was taken into surgery. I am so grateful for each of you for all the love and kindness you have shown me. It’s wonderful to be back in church. Love you all deeply and dearly - Cheri

Men's Steak Dinner on Friday September 8 at Stephen & Susan Bertschi's land. All men, high school age and older, are welcome to attend! Come anytime after 5 pm and dinner will be served at 6 pm. In case of rain, it will be rescheduled for Saturday September 9.

Looking Ahead

• August 13 - Service at the Rescue Mission in Peoria.  We'll meet in the West parking lot at 7:15.  We'd love some singing help. We usually return by 9:30. Any questions, please see Tim or Linda Martin.
• August 26th - 2023 Homecoming Benefit for the nursing home at the Roanoke Park. There will be a live auction, food and other activities for the kids.. 
• Thank you for your generous support and your willingness to donate items for our Live Auction at the Roanoke Park on Saturday, August 26, 2023.  We now have a wonderful variety of items for our Homecoming Days Auction.  If you have reached out to Cheryl Baurer regarding donating an item and have not dropped it off at her house, please contact her to make arrangements at cabaurer@hotmail.com before August 1st.

 We are excited that the auction is in person this year, but we are using the 32auction site to display the items at https://www.32auctions.com/2023benefit  Auction items will be added to this site over the next couple of weeks.
