August Collection - HarvestCall Servant Fund
Sunday, 8/3
- Prayer Gathering at 9 am in the Intermediate Sunday School Room. All are welcome and encouraged to begin our day of worship in prayer together.

Wednesday, 8/6
- Cemetery Volunteer Help Needed - from 9-noon We plan to continue each week until Labor Day. Please text Greg Moser at 309-573-6891 if you are able to help so he can plan accordingly.
- Splish Splash at the nursing home on the front lawn will be at 10:00. This fun summer water activity includes a kiddy pool, water balloons, water slide, squirt guns, etc. It is for kids of all ages but reservations are required by Monday Aug 4 to activity director Molly Hanrahan at molly@achroanoke.org or call 923-2071 ext 170
Thursday, 8/7 - Helping Hands will meet from 9-12.
The General Conference will be on a Saturday, Aug. 9th in Tremont. The theme is “Jesus will Build His Church” and the day will include topical presentations, breakouts and small group discussions.
Please keep Bros. Frank and all our Elders in your prayers as they have the Elder meetings throughout the week and the General Conference on Saturday.
ICC/Bradley Young Group Welcome Night - August 11 at 6:00pm at the Morton Fellowship Hall Pavilion. Dinner is provided as well as games and worship for the evening. Please bring your own lawn chair. This is for any college aged individual. We meet weekly for Bible Studies, worship nights, service nights and game nights.
ISU Young Group Welcome Day on August 17th for all students and their families attending ISU, Wesleyan or Heartland College and also college aged working individuals in the upcoming academic year. Bloomington church begins at 9:30am. Following church we will have fellowship/activities at the HUB and a pizza dinner at 3:30. RSVP by 8/3. Text your name and how many from your family plan to attend to Autumn Schlipf 309-622-3330. If you are unable to attend but want to be included in the weekly email, text Autumn that.
August 13 - Family Night - Trail Life and Heritage Girls Presentation by Byron Gerber and Renee Lindberg. The evening will begin with a 6:00 pizza supper, congregational singing beginning at 6:45, followed by the presentation at 7:00. Homecoming Benefit for Nursing Home August 22 and 23rd:
- Included in the weekend will be a special ceremony on Friday evening August 22, to honor the lives and legacies of residents past and present. This event will also mark five decades of compassionate service to the community. The evening will culminate in a lantern release ceremony, where loved ones will have the opportunity to purchase a paper lantern in honor of a current resident or in memory of a past resident. At dusk, the lanterns will be lit and released by loved ones. Lanterns for the memorial ceremony may be reserved in advance for a suggested donation of $20. There will also be a limited number available for purchase the evening of. For more information or to reserve a lantern in honor of your loved one, please contact Jamie Hodel at (309) 369-5781 by August 4th. - Monday, 8/18 - Trail Life / American Heritage Girls Open House and Registration Night - at 6:00 pm. Both are in the church basement this year. Come learn about these organizations that serve our youth from 5 - 17 years old. Kids are welcome to attend too.
- August 22/23 - 2025 Homecoming Benefit for the Nursing Home - Jamie Hodel is the contact person.
- September 6-7 - Testimonies and Baptisms - Makenzie Knepp, Josh Tibbs, Vonn Leman (Jim Leman grandson from Texas), Halle Fischer
- October 18-19 - Testimonies and Baptisms - Jonny Moser, Haley Hodel, Rylan & Sophia Bachman
National Church
- The AC Bookstore in Goodfield has an opening for a Marketing Manager to help with their marketing and graphic design elements. The current opening is for 3 mornings per week, though the possibility of more hours can be discussed. Please see the attached job description for more details.
- The Lamar church expresses their appreciation to each of you for your love and support through prayers, visits & donations as they considered the direction they should go. They have decided to sell the church and Fellowship Hall buildings and property to be able to focus on local relationships without the care of 2 large facilities and grounds. They plan to rent a room at a community center, the Theibaud, in Lamar which is large enough to still host larger visiting groups. We continue to covet your prayers and encourage your continued visits as before.

- Technology in Our Lives: Opportunities and Cautions - Saturday, September 13 at 7pm at the Goodfield Fellowship Hall. Bro. Jon Moser from the Emerging Technology Committee will speak. This is designed for families of all ages to explore the role of technology in our daily lives - both positive and areas where caution is needed. Topics include social media, privacy, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other key topics.
