• Sunday School begins
• Reminder to the parents of the 3 yr. Old - Kindergarten SS students - The teachers will be bringing them up to the south hallway in the west corner each Sunday at 10:45. Parents, please meet them there.
• Belvedere Invite - Roanoke church is invited to Belvedere on Sunday, August 27th to help support their small congregation. If interested please let Jonathan or Megan know.
• Visiting Minister - Gary Wagenbach (Tremont)
• Romans 9 - Second Service
• Lunch Provided by Jeremy and Melinda Knepp

HOPE will meet Wednesday, August 30, from 6:00-8:30 at Todd and Andrea Harris's home. Girls should bring their swimsuit and a towel. Supper will be served.

Hosting Young Group - The young group is looking for people who would be willing to host them occasionally for Friday night Bible studies.  If you are interested in being on the list, please contact Riley Beer or Joanna Moser.

Jr/Sr Mission Trip Harvest Dinner, November 4th - This year the committee decided to do a little something different.  We are having a Pancake and Sausage Supper.  It will be a walk in from 4-7pm, dine in only. 

The Prairie Choristers and Youth Choir will present a Christmas program on two Wednesday nights: December 13 and 20.

• Youth Choir is for students from third grade through high school. Practices are held Sunday mornings at 9:05 in the Choir Room. If you have a child who would like to sing, please email Phil at phodel@gmail.com
• Prairie Choristers will practice Wednesday nights after church services. Singers of high school age and older are welcome. Please email Phil at phodel@gmail.com if you would like to sing.

Congratulations to Riley Beer and Braden Menold (Bern) as they have announced their engagement. Parents are Neal and Jessica and Trent and Rita Menold.

Looking Ahead

• Sunday, September 2 - Visiting Minister - Brad Strahm (Bern)
• Thursday, September 7 - Helping Hands will meet from 9-12.
• Friday, September 8 - Men's Steak Dinner at Stephen & Susan Bertschi's land. All men, high school age and older, are welcome to attend! Come anytime after 5 pm and dinner will be served at 6 pm. In case of rain, it will be rescheduled for Saturday September 9.

• Saturday, September 16th - Ladies’ Day from 9am-12 pm with brunch served at the Fellowship Hall. The theme is:  In God's Silence, Faith is Born. Join the women of Roanoke church, high school age and above, for a day of fellowship and encouragement to be strong in our faith during times of waiting on the Lord. Please RSVP by 9/6 via Ladies Day RSVP or the sign up sheet on the women's bulletin board.
