Sunday, 8/2

• Prayer Gathering at 9 am - all are welcome!
• 1st Service - Bro.  Bruce Endress (Bradford) will be here and will speak on “The Five Generations of the Church”
• 2nd Service - Memorandum Bruce will assist with the reading. A copy of the Memorandum is attached to the announcements if you would like to print it and bring it to church with you to follow along.
• Lunch provided by Steve & Shirley Leman

Elder Conference will be this Wednesday - Friday and General Conference on Saturday, August 8th - Please keep Frank and the Elders in your prayers as they meet this week. Please keep Nate and Jamie in your prayers for his interview which is scheduled for Wednesday at 5:30 CDT.

Thursday, 8/6 - Helping Hands will meet at 9am.

Sunday, 8/9 - Morning service at the Pathways Rescue Mission in Peoria. We'll leave from the West parking lot at 7:15, and will return in time for our morning service.  Singing help is always appreciated.  If you have questions, please contact Tim or Linda Martin.

Homecoming Benefit for Nursing Home will be held Friday, August 21 and Saturday August 22nd:

• As we prepare for a special weekend to bless and support our Home, we are excited to invite you to be part of a beautiful opportunity to serve! This weekend requires many hands and willing hearts to bring it all together! We ask you to consider where you can serve! There is a place for everyone! Thank you for being a Church that always shows up, serves generously, and gives joyfully! We look forward to seeing how God will use this weekend to bless our Nursing Home! • We are collecting photos of nursing home residents to use at the benefit. We’d like to have a variety of life stages, from childhood to present day, and these can be of current or past residents. If you have any photos of loved ones who have lived at the home, would you consider uploading a few of them to this shared google album? • Attached below is a flyer for the weekend, along with information regarding our Lighting the Way Luminary Tribute Program held on Friday evening of the Benefit weekend. 

ISU Young Group Welcome Day will be Sunday, August 16th at the Bloomington church for both incoming and returning college-aged individuals.. All are welcome to worship with them beginning with song service at 9:30am and the Welcome Dinner begins at 4:30pm. Please RSVP at ISU Young Group Welcome Day RSVP

Note from Denny & Beth Mott - Beth and I would like to send our most sincere appreciation to the Roanoke church following the medical incident I experienced at your July 8 Family Worship Night.  Thanks to the quick response by so many I was taken to OSF where it was determined I had a full stroke but was given a  clot buster soon after arrival and was released three days later with no lasting effects.  With our love always.  Denny and Beth Mott.  

New Converts and Engagement: We rejoice with Brooklyn Getz (Milt & Jen) and Will Leman (Drew & Amanda, Morton) as their repentance and walk with Jesus was announced. We also congratulate them as they were recently engaged.

Looking Ahead

• Family Night, 8/12 - Bro. Eric Hodel will be sharing a presentation about the Midwest Food Bank.
