7/31/22 Announcements

July’s Collection - Roanoke Nursing Home

Sunday 7/31 - Return to our newly remodeled church, Lord willing.

  • 9:30 Service - rededication of our church sanctuary.  The Prairie Choristers will sing two hymns
  • Things to Consider with Church Lunch - There are some challenges associated with serving cafeteria style.  Therefore, on Sundays when lunch is served cafeteria style, the ushers will not be dismissing the congregation from the sanctuary.  We encourage some to remain and visit until the second setting to help regulate the flow of people through the dining room.  Those at the first setting should be mindful of people with full plates needing a place to sit, and those at the second setting should be aware of available seating before filling their plates.  We discourage food being taken from the dining room to other areas of the church (except the baby room).  We want to remind everyone that serving on trays is an option, and anyone so inclined should feel encouraged to do so. We recognize there are private conversations that are best carried out at the dining table, but in general, regardless of how lunch is served, we need to limit our time at the table to facilitate clearing the dining room by 11:30.  An overwhelming majority of the church favored a shortened lunch hour, and we need to work together to accomplish that. We look forward to worshiping together in our newly remodeled facility with our beloved church family. - Lovingly submitted, Board of trustees
  • 6:00 PM Family Hymn Sing - We have extended a special welcome to our area churches:  Eureka, Goodfield, Congerville, and Gridley to join us for an evening of singing hymns to our Lord in our newly remodeled church. We also want to express our thanks for the love, support, and prayers they have shown us during this past week and half.  It has made us more aware of what it is to be "A body of believers bound together by our love for Jesus Christ and his Word, reflecting God's love, grace, and truth."

Thanks
- We would like to thank everyone for their love, kindness, encouragement, letters and prayers over the last 6 weeks of Lola’s life. It is evident that God has blessed us with an overwhelming amount of support, and we are truly humbled. We love each of you and are so grateful to raise our family with a body of believers that comes around us and lifts us up. Lola is doing well and remains seizure free. We are praying her medicine continues to work and that God uses this experience in great ways!

Love, Ty & Sara, Evie, Violet, Scout, Louie & Lola

We pray that God will richly bless each of you for your love and kindness.
