Sunday, 5/3 - 

• Prayer Gathering - Meet at 9:00am in the Intermediate Sunday School Room - All are welcome!
• Special Church Meeting Opened after 1st Service to vote for updated Bylaws and Constitution. Ballots will be passed out to all members inside the sanctuary. The ushers will collect the ballots as they dismiss the assembly for lunch. The meeting will remain open during the lunch hour so that kitchen help, Sunday School teachers, and converted students have the opportunity to vote. The results will be announced prior to the 2nd service at which time we will adjourn the meeting. Thank you for your efforts to be present tomorrow as we need a large percentage of the total membership voting in person.

• National Day of Prayer Service at 7:15pm 
• ACTIVE will meet at 7:30pm

Thursday, 5/7 - Helping Hands from 9-12.

Sunday, 5/10 - All Elder ballots due.

• Tuesday, 5/5 - Singing at Valley Court at 7pm.
• Friday, 5/8 - SALT/LIGHT Bible Study over Hosea 9-10 at Rich & Julie Lindberg’s at 7pm.

Looking Ahead

• Wednesday, 5/13 - Family Night - ISU students will talk about their work trip to New Mexico. The evening will begin with a 6:00 pizza supper, congregational singing beginning at 6:45, followed by the presentation at 7:00. • Sunday, 6/7 - Communion will be served at the Nursing Home. Singing will begin at 1:00. Those who could not attend communion are welcome to join the residents.

Other Ways to Learn and Serve

• Our nursing home has a need for a part-time 2nd shift nurse.  If you feel that you could help serve in this capacity, please contact the nursing home at 309-923-2071 or email Penny Maher at penny@achroanoke.org
• Walking for Amy St. Jude Fundraiser - June 6- 8 AM- Roanoke Park. Walk, run, play disc golf, or just come up to the park, make a donation and enjoy refreshments. Registration deadline is May 6 for guaranteed T-shirt. Forms are on the church bulletin board.
