May Collection - Operational Fund


Sunday, 5/17 - 

  • Baccalaureate Service during 1st service
  • Elder confirmation vote during lunch. If you will not be in church, you can text your vote to Frank.
  • 2nd Service -1 Timothy 4
  • Lunch provided by Evan & Leah Walder
  • Sing at the Nursing Home at 1:00pm


Tuesday, 5/19 - Robert Fehr’s visitation from 5-8pm at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka 


Wednesday, 5/20 

  • Robert Fehr’s Funeral will be at 10am. 
  • ACTIVE at Schicks house


Young Group:

  • Tuesday, 5/19 - Singing at Roanoke Nursing Home at 7pm.
  • Friday, 5/22 - Outdoor Game Night at Bertschi’s Land at 7pm.


Men’s Bible Study - We would like to continue the men's small group bible studies starting in the month of June. If you were not a participant in the first small group study and would like to be added to an existing group or you were in the previous study and would like to change the day or time that you participate in the study, please contact John Getz or Rob Luginbuhl. If you were signed up for the previous small men's group, you do not need to sign up again. You will be contacted by your facilitator. The new study has been developed by ACCFS and is called All Nations. The study is designed to promote understanding of diverse people and perspectives.


Sunday, 5/24 Belviedere - Bro. Jonathan and Sis. Megan Hodel are planning another visit to Belvidere on May 24th and would like to invite anyone from church to join them for the day. They plan to meet at the high school parking lot at 8am to carpool.  Please let them know if they’d like to go. 


Roanoke church is hosting HarvestCall's Proclaim & Serve Conference on July 10th & 11th. We will be needing many volunteers to help the conference run smoothly. This is also a good opportunity to learn more about HarvestCall and its various missions. Please see the following sign-ups for volunteer jobs as well as baking cookies/bars for the conference lunch. If you are planning to attend in any capacity (volunteer, attendee, for part of the day, etc.) PLEASE REGISTER yourself at https://www.proclaimandserve.org/.   • Sunday, 6/7 - Communion will be served at the Nursing Home. Singing will begin at 1:00. Those who could not attend communion are welcome to join the residents.

  • American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Roanoke Park Building on Friday May 22nd from 11-4. You can sign up to donate by going to www.redcrossblood.org or by calling or texting Julie Blunier at 309-712-7491 
  • Walking for Amy St. Jude Fundraiser - June 6- 8 AM- Roanoke Park. Walk, run, play disc golf, or just come up to the park, make a donation and enjoy refreshments. Registration deadline is May 6 for guaranteed T-shirt. Forms are on the church bulletin board.
