February’s Collection -  HarvestCall General Fund


Sunday 2/26

  • Jonah Study: Jonah 4 - A Lesson on Compassion
  • Lost and Found - Please check the lost and found items. After church cleaning in March, any remaining items will be donated. 
  • Small Group Gatherings - We would like to encourage everyone to get involved in our small group get togethers. There are only 2 a year and it's a great way to build relationships and get to know others from our church. Singles, married, older and younger, all are welcome!   • Spaghetti supper food donations - There are a few remaining food donations available for the spaghetti supper next Saturday, March 4. Please see the following PerfectPotluck sign up link to help. Spaghetti supper food donation signup

Tuesday 2/28

  • HarvestCall Clothes sorting at the HarvestCall building in Goodfield from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, (not the 21st as one calendar showed). Use the following link to sign up - Clothes Sorting In Goodfield 2/28 @6:30

Wednesday 3/1

  • Scripture Memory - Practice Program - meet in dining room at 7:15
  • ACTIVE - Meet at the FH at 7:15 to set up for Spaghetti Dinner. 
  • HOPE - Meet at the FH at 7:15 to set up for Spaghetti Dinner.
  • Young Group - Roanoke is hosting church rotation for the ICC Young Group and they plan to go to Jonathan & Megan’s after church.

Thursday 3/2

  • Helping Hands - will meet from 9am-3pm

Friday 3/3

  • Young Group Bible Study - Matt & Jennifer Feuchts at 7:00 pm

Saturday 3/4 

  • Annual Sunday School Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser from 4:00-6:30 pm. at the Fellowship Hall. Both Dine-in and Carry outs will be available. There are sign up sheets on the bulletin board for food donations. Thanks in advance for everyone’s help and support. This is a community event so feel free to invite your friends and neighbors


Looking Ahead

  • Sunday 3/5 
  • Prayer Gathering - 9:00am in the intermediate Sunday School room.  All are welcome to begin our day of worship with sharing some time in prayer.
  • Foundations Class -  will be meeting during morning service in the adult Sunday school classroom in the North east corner downstairs. We encourage any friends to join in.  Please contact Bro. Jonathan Hodel if you have any questions.
  • All Church Supper - Everyone is welcome at 5:30 pm in the church dining room. After dinner, join us in the sanctuary for congregational singing starting at 6:30pm and then listening to the Scripture Memory Program at 6:45pm.   • Friday 3/10
  • Young Group Praise Singing - with Goodfield and Washington at Beer’s shed at  7:00 pm
  • Saturday 3/11 and Monday 3/13 - Annual Church Cleaning is planned for Sat., March 11 from 9 a.m. - noon, and Monday, March 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 6 p.m. until completion. Please bring buckets, rags, ladders, extension cords and vacuums. There is a sign up sheet with food donations needed for Monday evening on the bulletin board in the northwest hall area. Thank you for serving our church!
  • Saturday 5/6 - Testimonies - Jackson Beer and Dan Moser (with baptisms on Sunday 5/7)


National Church

  • Traveling Nurse Short Term Mission Opportunity - Across the country, there are long term care communities facing nursing shortages, including our own Apostolic Christian long term care facilities. Our desire is to provide our residents with the care they need, along with sharing the Gospel to those who work there and the residents who live there. There is an opportunity for nurses to travel to our different care communities to work short term as a nurse,  and to use their spiritual gifts to be a blessing to our staff and residents. If you are interested in learning more about this mission opportunity, please contact Sis. Megan Hodel at megan@achroanoke.org. Currently, the following facilities have nurse openings:

  • The Abide Discipleship Training in PeachTree, GA from 5/13 - 6/2 -  This training focuses on providing practical tools that by God’s grace, enable believers to walk a deeper, more transformative life as disciples of Jesus.   • Cultivating Connections - Events - ACCFS hosted its 2023 Marriage Conference on Feb. 10-11th in Roanoke, IL. There were 80 couples that attended from 24 different churches. The theme was centered around the idea of Knowing God in Marriage. 


Other Ways to Learn and Serve

  • 2023 Midwest Food Bank Virtual On-line Silent Auction - This is the final week to donate items and reserve tables. The Gala Dinner and Live Auction will be Saturday April 15. The Roanoke committee is currently seeking homemade items, themed dinners or events, and business products or services as auction items. Cash donations can be used by the committee to purchase items for the gala or as Benefit sponsorships. Tables for up to 8 are available for the Gala Dinner and Auction. Please contact Jon or Jill Fehr for donations and/or table tickets.
