November’s Collection - Gateway Woods


Sunday, 11/5

  • Prayer Gathering - All are welcome at 9:00 in the Intermediate Sunday School room to begin our day of worship in prayer.
  • Second Service - Romans 16
  • Lunch Provided by Zach and Penny Maher
  • Bible Class ACYF Evening Program in Princeville. The group will be stopping in Peoria for pizza beforehand, so please have your student at the RB High School west parking lot at 3:25 as they need to leave at 3:30 sharp.


Wednesday, 11/8

  • Family Night -Bros. Luke Fischer and Landon Isaia will be presenting on the topic, "1+1=4...God's work in Haiti."  The pizza supper will begin at 6:30 in the church dining room, with singing at 7:15, and the presentation at 7:30.  Please sign up for supper on the following link:  https://www.PerfectPotluck.com/XRXJ6363


November 10-12 - Young Group Invite at Roanoke - The group will be singing a few songs after the second service on Sunday.


November 11 - ACTIVE will be raking leaves. Please contact Katie Isaia (309-339-7074 or katieisaia28@gmail.com) if you would like your yard to be raked. 


Sunday, 11/12 - Thanksgiving Community Hymn Sing at 6:30 -


Saturday 11/18- The Roanoke young group and the church have been invited by the Morton Church to participate in a Turkey Dinner Distribution day at a Mission located in Humboldt Park (in the Chicago area).  A few from our congregation have participated in this event in the past and they wanted to expand the opportunity to include the entire congregation.  Seating on the bus is limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.  For more information or to sign up please contact Jonathan or Megan Hodel by 11/10.


New Converts - We rejoice with Charlie Bertschi (Bro. Stephen & Sis. Susan) and Patrick Bertschi (Bro. Sam & Sis. Marjorie) who have surrendered their lives to the Lord in repentance.


Roanoke Church Ladies' Survey:  A brief, five question survey was emailed out to all ladies on the church email list regarding Roanoke Church Ladies' Events. Please complete it online by November 10. If you'd prefer a paper copy or didn’t receive the email, please contact Sis. Jill Bradle.


Please check the lost and found shelves by the back door of the main ladies' restroom. Anything not claimed by today will be donated.


Thank you from the Cargil family - There is a note posted on bulletin board from the Cargil family for the love and support they received during Nick’s battle with cancer.


National Church

  • Hospital Lumiere Benefit Auction - Please consider supporting this important effort to support the hospital.  There will be a live, in-person auction on Friday, November 10th at The Water Tower in Gridley, IL at 7:00 p.m. with a meal starting at 4:30.  Visit the HarvestCall website https://www.harvestcall.org/benefit-auction.

Other Ways to Learn and Serve

  • Volunteers are needed for Disaster Rebuilding in USA from Jan. 7 - March 22. Online registration is required for all team members and opens at noon Central time on Wednesday, November 15th at www.harvestcall.org.   
  • The Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke is looking for volunteers to fill in at the Receptionist desk periodically.  If you are interested, please sign up on the Bulletin Board in the back hall, or call the Nursing Home for more details.
  • Perspective Class at the Goodfield Fellowship Hall starting in January. https://perspectives.org/courses/goodfieldil-s24/
