January’s Collection -  Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke 

 

Sunday 1/8

  • Foundations Class - *note change from 1st Sunday to 2nd Sunday - will be meeting during morning service in the adult Sunday school classroom in the North east corner downstairs. We encourage any friends to join in.  Please contact Bro. Jonathan Hodel if you have any questions.

 

Wednesday 1/11

  • Bob Martin funeral 10:00am
  • Family Night - Revision - Jay and Jackie Braker will be sharing about Jay’s scuba diving accident and God’s work of healing.  Supper will begin at 6:30 in the church dining room, and singing in the church basement will begin at 7:15.  Please click the following link to sign up for the pizza supper:  https://www.PerfectPotluck.com/DAAG0523  Note:  Originally we were planning to learn songs from the new hymnal, but because the books haven’t arrived, our regular church service will be replaced with singing practice from the new hymnals on Wednesday, January 25th.

 

Thursday 1/12 - Helping Hands will meet on January 12th and 17th for anyone who would want to come help cut squares. We will start at 9 and work until perhaps 12-1. Also, there will be 2 ironing boards available. It is very helpful. 

 

ACCFS will be hosting its 2023 Cultivating Connections Marriage Conference on February 10-11 in Roanoke, IL. We look forward to a time of learning, encouragement, and fellowship around this year’s theme: Knowing God in Marriage. Registration is required for this in-person only event. We encourage you to consider investing in your marriage and joining us for this year’s conference!

 

**Roanoke help needed for Marriage Conference - We are looking for a committee to help with coffee, snack and lunch at the upcoming marriage conference that Roanoke is hosting.  If you would be willing to help, please contact Jon or Jill Fehr by Sunday, January 15.

 

The Sunday School would like to thank the congregation for their support for the special collection for gift cards for the OSF Cards for Kids program. The gift cards along with homemade cards from our students were much appreciated by the program committee. 

 

Bibles and Bible story books available at two locations in the North Hall.  If you have visitors or friends that need a Bible, there are Bibles available in various sizes (in King James, NIV and ESV, as well as Bible Story books for children.  They are located in the bookshelves in the main area close to the bulletin board, and adjacent to the Ladies restroom.

  • Scholarship Opportunity - A gentleman, who was deeply touched by some of the young people from one of our church communities, has provided a scholarship to students, enrolled part-time or full-time at an accredited college, university, or certificate program pursuing a degree in a field that would be beneficial to the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka, Apostolic Christian LifePoints, and Apostolic Christian Counseling and Family Services, Please contact Bro.   • Apostolic Christian LifePoints currently has an opening for Administrator at Timber Ridge. While a full job description can be found online, this individual is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of our largest facility, Timber Ridge.
